Experience Comfort During Your Restorative Treatment

At Serenity Dental, we take every step to ensure pleasant restorative procedures. Our advanced technology minimizes discomfort at every stage. Digital X-rays reduce radiation exposure, electronic scanners replace messy traditional impressions, and our dental laser allows for precise, less invasive treatments.

Your comfort extends beyond our technical approach. If you suffer from dental anxiety, we offer inhaled sedation that helps you relax while remaining fully conscious.

Our treatment rooms feature thoughtful amenities to create a soothing environment. Soft pillows support your neck, cozy blankets keep you warm, headphones let you enjoy your favorite music, and protective glasses shield your eyes from bright light. These small touches make a big difference in transforming your dental visit into a genuinely comfortable experience.

So there are four ways to treat patients. So the first one is not to do anything, but then that really doesn't help long-term because you will have bone loss where you're missing a tooth. The top teeth might supra-adapt or the bottom teeth might go up. So that's not usually recommended.

The second option is to replace it with partials, but they are not very comfortable. Patients have to take it off at night. It's good for aesthetic reasons when you're missing a tooth, but it's not really a good replacement option.

The third option is to replace missing teeth with a bridge. That was the norm in the past. A missing tooth would be replaced with a bridge, but then when you're replacing a tooth with a bridge, you're also kind of shaving off the adjacent teeth, which otherwise wouldn't need any treatment. But now we are like, to replace one tooth, you are damaging the two adjacent teeth. If anything happens to one of the teeth of the bridge, then you end up losing three teeth or three crowns. But again, in some cases we recommend doing bridges.

And the fourth option is to replace a tooth with an implant. So if you are missing a single tooth, a single implant is placed in. An implant is essentially a screw that goes into your bone and replaces the root portion of the tooth. It does take some time, so you will have some visits to the dentist because the implant takes some time to heal.

It's a good investment for long-term benefits because it helps you restore your smile and your chewing performance and not damage your adjacent teeth. And it also restores the level of the bone. So when you replace a missing tooth with an implant, that bone is stabilized and it helps maintain your oral hygiene too because you can actually floss between implants versus a bridge, which is very hard to floss and you have to use a floss threader to make sure that you're flossing well.

With implants, it's a long-term investment. So it'll always help you maintain your smile and keep your teeth healthy.

Frequently Asked Questions About Restorative Dentistry

Today's composite fillings are nearly as durable as metal amalgam. They bond directly to your tooth structure, providing excellent support while requiring less removal of healthy tooth material. Modern composites resist wear and maintain their appearance for years, making them an ideal choice for most cavity repairs.

The complete dental implant process typically takes three to six months. After implant placement, a healing period of several months allows the implant to fuse with your jawbone. Once integrated, we attach an abutment and place your final crown or bridge.

Most dental insurance plans cover 50–80 percent of restorative treatments, considering them medically necessary rather than cosmetic. Coverage varies by procedure — fillings typically receive higher coverage than implants. Our office staff can verify your specific benefits before treatment begins.
